The warm white light is much better than a brighter light. It's great to be able to recharge this (although I have only had it for a couple weeks and have not needed to yet).
Not only is it great for the middle of the night if we have to get up (no bright ceiling lights), but also helpful for older dogs on stairs etc.)

Easy to install. Charged in less than 20 minutes. I ordered 5 of these and I'm trying to find spots for 2 more. I love these. They never run out of battery as they're just USB charge-able. So far the 1 I initially installed has NOT needed a charge in nearly 3 months. I've got these in our bathrooms so that we don't have to have a glaring over-light on if we need to use the washroom at night. Great little invention.
